Crone

While the most common definitions of “Crone” describe a thin, ugly evil old woman, I much prefer wiki’s “An archetypal figure, a Wise Woman” and hope to someday live up to that definition to some extent.

 

 

 

This is the “crone staff” I acquired in mid-2016, which provides support and grounding and is a symbol of power, something like a supersized magic wand.

 

Resistance

The 2016 election left me in shock and extremely anxious about the future of our country  I feel called to be part of the Resistance, but am not a fighter in any conventional sense of the word. I have dabbled in a variety of arts and crafts, but am primarily a fiber artist, called to pull beauty out of the Universe, and find that part of my life becoming more and more important in my life as I get older. Image galleries of crochet and tie-dye projects will be added as time goes by.

If I can’t be a fighter myself, I can at least encourage others with my ideas or creations and attempt to be a counterbalance to the anticipated onslaught of bad news to come; I hope this blog will do that.

My Unitarian Universalist faith is integral to my beliefs and core principles, and will be the subject of or related to much of the content of this site.
